The CAMBODIA WORKSHOP focused on eight low-income communities in Phnom Penh. The families were housed in a variety of ways, ranging from seemingly temporary roadside shelters, to elaborate rooftop communities. Seven different types - in physical terms - were identified as representing the wide range of housing options available to the low income. These included: roadside shelters, river-edge communities, railroad squatters, roof-top communities, invaded multi-story housing estates, 'hidden' communities in block interiors, and an example of a resettled communities.
